Just know the big picture of life put it in the right chronology and you will understand every facet of life. To clarify my comment below theres no reason to reinvent the wheel with your spiritual rebellion. The Roman Catholic Church is the most venerated institution in known history occulting more than the Christ Conscience inside us all.

This "new age" enlightenment of conscious awareness was and is a main part of any christian cannon. Ex. Revelation 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches." "I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star." The bright and morning star, or venus is a reference to the son of the morning lucifer. Which jesus states he is!! Its all in the scriptures for those with a mind to know. The latter most blatantly cuts to the chase. My point being by rejecting the roman catholic church this new awareness loses its root and stem of the flower of conscience.
